At Blue Bottle, community is core to who we are as a business. As we see models of care proliferate across communities—from neighborhood mutual aid groups to virtual block parties—we want to do our part. We think coffee continues to be a ritual worth sharing. We hope we all might find moments at this time to celebrate, surprise and delight one another, and remain connected. That’s why we’ve brought Neighbor back.

First released back in 2018, Neighbor’s relaunch supports our hometown community through the Alameda County Community Food Bank. As of mid-April, ACCFB was serving more than  45,000 households a day and continuing to meet growing need. With more than 200 partners and its own distribution sites, the food bank is supplying emergency food bags of basic essentials to cover several days’ meals to the community. 

This all-Ethiopia blend is like a bowlful of sun-warmed berries topped with freshly whipped cream: fruity, rich, and utterly balanced. When you purchase a single bag you will help provide five meals through the food bank. When you buy a bundle of three coffee bags—perhaps to share with your own neighbors—you will support eighteen meals.

Water

For one cup, use 350 g water, heated between 195°F and 205°F.

Coffee dose

For pour over, Chemex, and machine:

25 g coffee

For French press:

28 g coffee
