The Recipe for Our Customer-Favorite Overnight Oats

From the Blue Bottle Kitchen

“We created our overnight oats to offer guests a delicious, healthy, and hearty breakfast that just happens to be vegan and wheat-free,” says Blue Bottle Culinary Director Hourie Sahakian. Since we introduced them, they’ve become a best-seller.

Steeped overnight with dried fruits and seeds, the oats become pudding-like and are ready to eat straight from the refrigerator. A surprise ingredient—pomegranate molasses—brings an irresistible sweet-tartness. “We also lightly spice the oats with just enough nutmeg to pair nicely with coffee without overwhelming it,” Hourie says.

Overnight Oats
Serves 6

2 cups rolled oats
2 cups oat milk
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup dried blueberries
6 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
6 tablespoons sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons chia seeds
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate overnight or up to 5 days. Scoop into bowls and serve.
